Book 69 - Keith Moon Stole my Lipstick by Judith Wills

Reading date - March 2021

I love the 60's, I am a mod at heart, something I get from my dad.  My mod style permeates to my work clothes.

This is the story of a girl who went from being a country bumpkin to being fully immersed in the pop world of the 60's.

I loved reading this book, it was about a world I was not born into but some of the tech they mentioned as cutting edge here was fading out when I was a child.  It was interesting to see how publishing worked and how you could just wing your way in anywhere, something you can't do now unless your dad is rich or you have a plummy accent.

The book was written in such a nice, everyday way that you are drawn in and before you know it, the book is almost finished.  It is written like a gossip column with just the actual facts and the scandal you want to know about.
